Castle park
The first lords of the castle, the Vettris, had the park planted in the formal French tradition; it was later embellished by the Wildensteines. The park was 85 m wide and more than 240 m long. A straight alley of beech trees and many exotic trees are still arousing interest, although only a quarter of the park and the castle walls were thoroughly renewed.
A visit to the park is pleasant regardless of the season: during the springtime, when the nature is reborn in all of its splendor, or in the summer, when the mighty treetops provide welcome shade from the scorching sun. Autumns are beautiful with all the amazing colors, while winters transform the landscape into a glittering, magical wonderland.
