The oldest church on Pohorje was first mentioned in 1251. The Romanesque church was renovated and enlarged on several occasions, and has three altars now. The renovated roof is covered with typical shingles. Roman stones embedded in the walls of the church testify of its age. The church originally served as a place of refuge.
