The church of st. Philip and Jacob is the most important cultural monument of the village of Laporje. Its first written reference is traced back to 1251. The general layout of the building dates back to 1374, and the final restoration took place in 1907. The interior decoration of the church is very rich. The main altar was made by Holzinger, while Jožef Straub is the author of several statues.
